[lala007] indira chang – urban fakelore

14.02.2017 17:16

Indira Chang, born 1987 in Panama-City

A strict Catholic parents characterized her childhood.

A learning group, which she joined during their education, enabled her but the confrontation with religion by strong agnostic atheistic influence.

A newfound sophisticated view drove Indira in 2007 to Europe, where she finally settled down in Vienna and started studying at the Vienna University of Technology in Geodesy and Geoinformatics.

Through her strong interest for music, Chang quickly learned to know many people and took a record distribution, which has been very successful through her leadership.
By emerging vinyl subculture, the distribution became an indispensable interface between artists and labels.

The analog was never quite enough, however, also the all-digital production of music has always been part of her enthusiasm.
In Vienna and by these circumstances, Indira Chang also learned to know “Lalier”, a Swiss singer-songwriter. The idea for a mutual project was born quickly; the connection of the acoustic with the electronic heaviness exited both.

The album “Urban Fakelore” reflects this ambivalence in musical as well as in the cultural sense with respect to her origin and was mainly produced in Vienna.

[lala006] peter cellar – murren

03.08.2013 13:09
Peter Cellar is a well known producer and DJ from the Brixton underground scene. Bored of the UK club scene, Cellar took a time-out in Switzerland in the mountains of Murren, spending the summer in a small chalet. Isolated from everyday life, the specialist for tough breaks developed a new electronic sound, created with a mac book and a microphone only. “The sound is influenced by childlike pop music, brought by the vast nature of the Swiss alps”, he tells. Mixed with my  club background, the sound is amazing!” Indeed, Cellar neglects the common structure of dance tracks and focuses on naive melodic songs. What’s next? Off course, returning to his headquarter in London and  check out the new sound with his homies. “Those tunes for Electric Brixton? Man, don’t know. Guess, some friends have to remix the stuff” (smile).

[lala005] amanda fears – black teeth

22.02.2012 00:51
Amanda Fears, Exile, US minor outlying islands:Following a nervous breakdown, Amanda takes up the job of music teacher in the small village of Haddaby. There she can benefit from the tranquillity and peace, enabling her to recover fully. But under the facade of idyllic country life she slowly unearths the frightening reality of village life in which the inhabitants are followers of a menacing satanic cult with the power to inflict indiscriminate evil and death if crossed.
Under mentioned difficult circumstances she was able to express herself and with a catch she bundled everything within this EP -“Wake up with a bassline” whatever is after you. We don’t know if she still walks between us…
